Alanis Morissette and Souleye Welcome First Child on Christmas Day
Another Christmas baby! Aside from Sir Elton John and David Furnish who welcomed their first child, Alanis Morissette received a joyful Christmas Gift as well – her baby boy.
Alanis and husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway welcomed their first child named Ever Imre who was born on December 25. ‘Ever’ came from Alanis’ twin brother who has the same name, while ‘Imre’ is a common Hungarian name. Ever Imre, according to the singer’s representative was delivered to the world on Christmas Day and “all are healthy and happy”.
Alanis, 36, and Mario a.k.a. Souleye, 30, tied the knot in May 22, 2010 in the singer’s house in Los Angeles. After three months, Alanis shared the good news about her pregnancy and everyone waited for her baby bump to show.
So, who is Mr. Alanis Morissette?
Mario Treadway was born in Massachusetts to a Native American father and an Italian mother. His rapping skill was probably polished since he started writing rhymes when he was 10. Mario’s career commenced in 2005 thru Relix Magazine’s contest, Jam Cruise. His freestyle rapping earned him positive reviews and nods from the people in the music industry and his supporters. Souleye is the man behind the songs Spin the Bottle and Night Owl.
The marriage surprised the Canadian singer’s fans as she had only began dating Mario in October of 2009, seven months before they had a very private wedding. The two shared the news of their union just after it was all done. And it seemed like they really enjoy announcing good news over Facebook and Twitter as they had also shared the news about the coming of their baby boy via these social networks.
Can’t wait for Ever Imre’s photos to spread around blogosphere? Like any other celebrity babies, Alanis Morissette’s son is expected to be the center of media people’s attention once the couple is ready to show off their child unless Alanis and Mario opt to hide Ever away from the cameras.
The seven-time Grammy Award winner was then romantically linked to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds who is now seeking divorce with wife for two years, Scarlett Johansson. Alanis’ 2008 album Flavors of Entanglement was done out of her melancholic break up with Ryan.
Alanis and Ryan started dating in 2002 and after two years of togetherness, announced their engagement in June 2004. However, the two-year engagement ended on a sad note as the split up was announced in February 2007. News of Ryan dating Scarlett started spreading in the same year. They got engaged in May 8, 2008 and got married on September 27, 2008. Two weeks ago, the couple announced their break up. Ryan filed for divorce on December 23, 2010.
It might have been a cold Christmas for Ryan but Alanis is all smiling now as she starts a happy life with rapper husband Mario and their little bundle of joy, Ever Imre. Months after her much publicized break up with Ryan, Alanis admitted she considered adopting a baby and wanted to start a family before she turns 40. The Canadian rock star obviously made it – with a child of her own.

The English language service broadcasts 24 hours a day. In June 2009 the BBC reported that the World Service’s average weekly audience had reached 188 million people. The World Service is funded by grant-in-aid through the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by the British Government unlike the BBC’s domestic radio and television services, which are primarily funded by a compulsory licence fee levied on every household in the United Kingdom using a television to watch programmes as they are being broadcast. Despite this form of funding, the World Service remains editorially independent, although the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is closely consulted in decisions about which languages are broadcast. BBC World Service is a patron of The Radio Academy. The Director of the World Service is Peter Horrocks. The BBC World Service began as the BBC Empire Service in 1932 as a shortwave service. Its broadcasts were aimed principally at English speakers in the outposts of the British Empire, or as George V put it in the first-ever Royal Christmas Message, the “men and women, so cut off by the snow, the desert, or the sea, tha… More: |
